Ratioed is a slang term used when a social media post attracts far more negative responses, quote posts, or comments than positive engagement such as likes or shares. It is often used to signal that a post, opinion, or statement has been strongly criticised or disagreed with by the wider community.
Example: “That tweet got ratioed within an hour.”
Means: “The tweet received a large amount of criticism and negative reactions.”
Example: “He tried to defend the decision online and got completely ratioed.”
Means: “His post was met with overwhelming disagreement from other users.”
