Effing is a less vulgar, softened version of the word “fucking.” It is often used to express emphasis, frustration, or intensity without using the full expletive.

Example: “This effing traffic is driving me mad.”
Means: “This fucking traffic is driving me mad.”

Example: “He’s always late, it’s so effing annoying.”
Means: “He’s always late, it’s so fucking annoying.”
